Lyle is a 10 year old boy fighting a double brian tumour which is a double pathway giloma 💙
Lyle has been on and off treatment for 3 and half years as Lyles tumours got from stable to active again.
Lyle finished his 3rd journey of chemotherapy which started on the 29th of march 2018 which he received 12months of high dose chemotherapy for and finished in march 2019.
His last scan showed that his tumours are stable so he has had a break off treatment for the last while but has to take it day by day.
Lyle is life limited and the chemotherapy that Lyle has been given isn’t going to cure these tumours or take them away it’s to try and stable them for as long as possible.
Lyle can’t have radiotherapy or have these tumours removed.
Time is precious for Lyle and his family as he is life limited, they are hoping to make as many memories as possible.
With that in mind we were introduced to the family and were able to suppprt them with a grant at the most crucial time, whilst Lyle was going through a hard time in hospital.
The charity was able to support the family by paying one months mortgage on their home as juggling finances whilst spending time in hospital over a long period can become costly,we also invited the family to our Easter party when Lyle was a bit better and provided a gift to Lyle.
The family was very appreciative of the help and said it took a huge weight of worry off them at one of the most challenging times.
